That is the same argument that was used by PL when they called an early election after all the allegations – “let the electorate decide”. And the electorate did. It is hypocritical, with this reasoning, to insist that PL gets rid of certain of its members, when PN is not ready to do the same. Stephen Spiteri is another one! I cannot vote PN wondering whether Spiteri would end up as our Minister of Health! And yes, people will vote for him and the others because as long as their backs are getting scratched, they will vote for them. If the PN wants to come across as new and clean, then it must first clean up its own backyard. Floating voters like me will not vote for the party that still has the same members that I voted out in 2013.
Thanks for contributing to this website. My position is clear: This party cannot afford to lose people. It must win people over. We will be fielding a vast array of candidates and we will leave it up to the electorate to decide who they want to keep and who they want to lose. The door is also open to new people who may wish to come forward.
